Why Train?  Training Improves Food Safety Compliance! 

An FDA study indicates that the presence of trained food handlers has a positive effect on overall food safety compliance.  In the FDA Report on the Occurance of Foodborne Illness Risk Factors, the data suggests that:

  • Having trained staff can control food safety risk factors, especially in fast food & full service restaurants, meat and poultry departments, and produce departments.
  • Poor personal hygiene appears to be the risk factor for which training had the most positive effect.
